The FKF Cup Round of 16 gets underway this weekend, with exciting clashes lined up across the country as clubs battle for a place in the quarterfinals.
On Saturday, April 12, Denmak FC will take on Kariobangi Sharks at 1 PM at the KPA Sports Club in Mbaraki, before Bandari FC hosts Gor Mahia at the same venue from 3:30 PM.
Nairobi United will be up against KCB at Dandora Stadium, while in Kisumu, Kakamega Homeboyz will clash with Shabana at Kenyatta Stadium — both matches kicking off at 3 PM.
Sunday, April 13, will see Police FC face Kapenguria Heroes at 1 PM at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. Later on the same pitch, Bidco United will battle Ulinzi Stars from 3:30 PM.
Meanwhile, Murang’a SEAL will welcome Kibera Soccer to the SportPesa Arena in Murang’a in another 3 PM fixture.
Compel FC vs Mara Sugar FC fixture remains pending following an appeal by AFC Leopards SC over an earlier decision that saw them forfeit their abandoned Round of 32 clash against Mara Sugar.
The match was stopped in the 89th minute after Leopards supporters invaded the pitch in protest of a rescinded penalty. While the FKF Leagues & Competitions Committee initially awarded the win to Mara Sugar, AFC Leopards appealed the decision, and FKF has confirmed that a date for the Compel vs Mara Sugar match will be announced once the appeal is concluded.
The quarterfinals are scheduled for May 1–4, with the semifinals set for May 24–25, before the competition culminates in the grand finale on June 14, 2025.
Teams across the country are now eyeing not just the prestigious trophy, but also the prize money and a chance to represent Kenya in the CAF Confederation Cup.
