Shabana FC defeated Murang’a Seal 1-0 to record their second win of the season in a match played at the St. Sebastian Park on Saturday November 23, 2024 in the evening.
Shabana’s crucial goal was scored by Mathew Thegisi in the 61st minute handing them their second win in a row having beaten Police FC 1-0 before the November FIFA international break.
Murang’a Seal’s Ally Yusuf was sent off for a second bookable offence in the 86th minute making the home side finish the match with ten men.
Shabana FC who made changes to their technical bench earlier in the month by hiring Benard Mwalala and Osborne Monday to deputize Peter Okidi are now placed 11th on the log with 9 points after eight games.
In other matches played on Saturday, Ryan Ogam scored his sixth goal of the season handing Tusker FC a precious 1-0 win away to Nairobi City Stars in Machakos.
Kakamega Homeboyz who were looking for their third win of the season were held to a barren draw by coastal side Bandari FC at the Mumias Sports Complex whereas Mathare United registered their fourth win of the season after seeing off Posta Rangers 2-0 at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
FKF-PL gameweek nine will conclude on Sunday November 24, 2024 with two matches. At the Awendo green stadium Mara Sugar will welcome Robert Matono’s charges Sofapaka FC while the other match will have Ulinzi Stars taking on Bidco United at the Kinoru Stadium.
