Tusker FC extended their lead at the top of the FKF Premier League with a 2-1 victory over Gor Mahia in a match held at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Sunday January 19, 2025 in the evening.
After a goalless first half, Tusker took the lead in the 58th minute through Ryan Ogam. Gor Mahia responded 11 minutes later with a goal from Austin Odhiambo, leveling the score at 1-1.
However, Ryan Ogam completed his brace in the 90+4 minute with a superb header, bringing his goal tally to 15 from 13 matches and helping Tusker increase their points total to 33.
Meanwhile, Shabana FC extended Bandari’s winless streak to six matches with a 1-1 draw at KPA Sports Club in Mbaraki. Shabana struck early in the first minute through Brian Michira, but Bandari equalized in the 70th minute with a goal from Joseph Otieno, resulting in a final score of 1-1.
In other matches, Sofapaka FC deepened Posta Rangers’ woes by handing them a 2-1 defeat. Sofapaka’s goals were scored by Edward Omondi and Jack Ong’anya, while Dinken Mwema provided a consolation goal for Posta Rangers.
Police FC secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Murang’a Seal thanks to Alfred Leku’s lone goal, while KCB FC were held to a 1-1 draw by Nairobi City Stars.
