FKF Special General meeting was just a choir: Fred Arocho

Most FKF meetings are a choir, this is according to sports journalist Fred Arocho’s thoughts about the recently held FKF SGM.

Arocho stated that most of the issues presented during such sports meetings were attended robotically.

He added that sports meetings do not attend to the real issues that plague Kenyan football.

In a heated sit-down with Duncan Mutua and Lucky Herriano on TV47’s Mchakamchaka, he called out FKF on its leadership.

According to Arocho, during meetings determining sports leadership in the country, the real issues take a back seat.

Arocho attended the federation SGM

Additionally, Arocho admitted to attending the recently held federation SGM even when he was conflicted by the running of the FKF.

Furthermore, Arocho shared with Duncan Mutua and Lucky Herriano that even he too went on ahead with the directed agenda of the meeting.

In his defense, Arocho stated that these meetings on sports leadership were nothing but a front that he termed a formality.

The Rot in FKF is deep

In a seemingly emotional exchange, Arocho asked why none of the delegates at the FKF meeting dared to ask about how COVID-19 funds were spent.

Additionally, he asked why nobody wanted to find out the whereabouts of the Live broadcast van bought with the COVID-19 funds.

In his submission, he shared that the FKF was not just at the top but extended down to the grassroots.
