In the upcoming FKF Women’s Cup semifinals, all four contenders for the title will come from the FKF Women’s Premier League.
Zetech Sparks being the latest to secure their spot following a victory in the last quarter-final match held on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Sudi Stadium. They triumphed over their opponents, Kisiwa Starlets, with an 8-0 victory.
The first half saw Zetech Sparks take control, with goals from Beverline Adika and Chaviha Sheril in the 13th and 32nd minutes respectively, giving them a comfortable 2-goal lead at half time.
The momentum continued into the second half as Beverline Adika secured her brace just three minutes after the restart, followed by a goal from Fridhaus Abdalla in the 52nd minute.
The scoring continued with Otieno Violet adding two more goals to her team’s tally in the 65th and 89th minutes. Anna Arusi and Ordia Christabel put the finishing touches on the match with late goals scored in added time.
With this victory, Zetech Sparks will now prepare to take on Kibera Soccer Ladies, while Kenya Police Bullets will face off against Ulinzi Starlets in the semi-finals. These matches are scheduled to take place on June 16, 2024.
