FKF Women’s Premier League: Six matches set for this weekend

The 2024/25 season of FKF Women’s Premier League (WPL) season is set to kick off this weekend, with six matches lined up across different venues.

Top teams in Kenya will battle it out through the season for the ultimate glory as the league promises exciting football action.

The league opener will feature defending champions Kenya Police Bullets FC hosting newcomers KISPED at the Police Sacco Stadium, Nairobi.

KISPED, fresh from a successful promotion campaign, are determined to make their mark in the top tier, while Police Bullets aim to build on their previous season’s performance.

In Nakuru, Trinity Starlets FC will welcome Bunyore Starlets at RVIST Grounds.

Meanwhile, fans in Kisumu will be treated to 2 matches at Moi Stadium, where Vihiga Queens FC take on Ulinzi Starlets on Saturday, October 5, 2024.

Kisumu Allstarlets will also start life in the top flight against Zetech Sparks in the other match on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

Bungoma Queens FC will host Kibera Soccer Women at the National Polytechnic, Bungoma, while down in Mombasa, Mombasa Olympic FC will clash with WADADIA FC at Ronald Ngala Primary School.

The FKF Women’s Premier League continues to grow in stature and competitiveness, with more teams investing in talent and structures to elevate the women’s game in Kenya. This weekend’s fixtures are the start of what promises to be an exciting season full of talent, passion, and unmissable moments.
