Police in Nairobi on Monday, March 18 evening arrested four suspects in an operation against narcotic drugs within Ngara Kariuwa area, popularly known as ‘Kwa Mathe Wa Ngara’.
Officer Commanding Parklands Police Station led the operation following an outcry from members of the public that drug traffickers were operating with impunity.
During the operation, police nabbed about 100Kg sack of narcotics (bhang) and other apparatus that will now be presented before court as exhibit.
Those arrested are; Yasmin Mohamed, Edwin Kimani, Fabian Munene and Stephen Kaage.
Police say that the four suspects will be arraigned today (Tuesday, March 19) to be charged with trafficking in narcotic drugs by storing.
“The operation is still on until the intended purpose is achieved,” the OCS said.
