Four people feared dead after landslides destroy houses in Murang’a

Four people were feared dead while two others were safely rescued on Monday April 29, 2024 after landslides destroyed houses in Gitugi village, Murang’a County.

The landslides were triggered by floods due to the ongoing heavy rains in the country.

Teams from the Murang’a County government and the Kenya Red Cross have launched a rescue operation at the scene of the tragedy.

Meanwhile, two victims of the landslides were rushed to hospital for treatment.
