Francis Ng’ang’a has shared the heartbreaking story of how his wife, Lucy Wambui tragically fell ill after undergoing cosmetic surgery allegedly at Body by Design clinic.
His painful account reveals the devastating consequences of a procedure gone wrong and the aftermath that shattered their lives.
The ordeal began allegedly when his wife, a 45-year-old mother, decided to undergo cosmetic surgery at the clinic. According to Ng’ang’a, his wife returned home from the surgery feeling unwell.
The clinic, however, assured the family that her symptoms were normal and part of the healing process. They were told not to worry as she was expected to recover in time.
However, things took a turn for the worse as his wife’s condition rapidly deteriorated. Ng’ang’a described how she developed severe complications, including a perforated intestine.
He shared the distressing experience of witnessing his wife in unbearable pain, as her body suffered from the consequences of the botched surgery.
“I asked them why my wife was excreting and smelling and they told me it was part of the healing process. When they noticed she was critically ill, they told her to go home, and they closed the clinic,” said Ng’ang’a.
At the same time, some friends of the deceased expressed their concerns over the tragic event, with media personality Betty Kyalo and Amira being vocal about the injustice faced by Lucy Wambui.
One of the most haunting aspects he described was how her stool leaked through the damaged intestines, causing a persistent and unpleasant odour that left her in an unimaginable state of distress.
Desperate for answers and help, Ng’ang’a tried to contact the clinic. However, he soon discovered that Body by Design had abruptly closed down shortly after sending his wife home.
This added to his confusion and sense of betrayal, as the family was left grappling with the consequences of a surgery that had gone terribly wrong, with no support from the clinic that performed it.
The seriousness of the situation caught the attention of authorities. The Ministry of Health intervened, shutting down the clinic and launching a thorough investigation into the mother’s untimely death.
The facility’s abrupt closure raised further questions about its operations and safety standards, and the investigations aim to uncover any violations or negligence that may have contributed to the tragedy.
Ng’ang’a’s account is a harrowing reminder of the risks associated with cosmetic procedures, especially when proper standards and follow-up care are not guaranteed.
As the family mourns the loss of a beloved mother, they also hope for justice and greater awareness about the dangers that can arise from cosmetic surgeries.
