Veteran Soccer radio host and commentator Fred Arocho has joined TV47’s Swahili sports segment Mchakamchaka with a new take on sports.
The veteran radio host Arocho is a straight shooter on sports issues and is a revered analyst in the country.
TV47’s Mchakamchaka has been at the forefront of spearheading sports breakdown on Kenyan TV.
Additionally the show airs every Monday evening from 5pm looking into matters of sports scheduled ahead of the week.
Mchakamchaka has been running under the command of the young and the fresh Duncan Mutua Askofu leading the charge on sports in the studio and on ground.
Additionally, Askofu has also been the face of TV47 VAR, an evening sports section airing every Thursday at 10pm.

The sports journalist extraordinaire has been a football commentator in the Kenyan media terrain providing accurate predictions and analysis.
Joining TV47’s Mchakmchaka has opened up Arocho to not just Kenyan football but also a range of Kenyan sports like the recently held Kenya Magical Opens that took place at the Muthaiga Golf Club.
Arocho’s eye for football has not just been informed from his education but from his years as a player at KCB FC.
He would later be recruited by Kenyan media sports queen Carol Radull who spotted his accurate assessment after his playing years.

Arocho on TV47 Sports
Arocho joining Radio47, under Capemedia was the sports move of the year which was part of the larger wave in Kenyan media shifts in 2023.
Subsequently, from his mass moving radio show Mikiki ya Spoti on Radio47 every Saturday and Sunday from 4pm-8pm, Arocho is successfully crossing over to TV47.
Additionally, his teaming up with Askofu for Mchakamchaka has been reckoned to be a team up sports commentary needed.
