Popular Kenyan comedian Fred Omondi has tragically died in a road accident.

Fred, the younger brother of celebrated comedian and actor Eric Omondi, was involved in a collision along Outering Road early this morning.

The accident occurred at around 6:00 AM near the Caltex petrol station on Kangundo Road.

According to reports, a Mitsubishi minibus, driven by Stephen Maina from Kayole heading towards the CBD, collided head-on with a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction on the wrong side of the road.

Fredrick Odhiambo Omondi, who was a passenger on the motorcycle, died instantly.

Fortunately, rescuers rushed the motorcycle rider, who suffered serious injuries, to Mama Lucy Hospital for treatment.

While Fred’s body was taken to the hospital mortuary.

The comedian performed at Captain’s Lounge on Friday night, little did he know that would be his last stage performance.

Fred was set to perform in Meru this weekend.

Making his untimely death even more heartbreaking for his fans and fellow comedians.

His brother, Eric Omondi, along with many other comedians and content creators, mourned his loss.

Further, Fred was one of the top talents in the industry.

Fred’s passing is a significant blow to the comedy community.

All who knew and loved him will deeply miss him.
