Frida Mokaya Boyani succeeds Anne Amadi as the new Chief Registrar of Judiciary

Frida Mokaya Boyani is the new Chief Registrar of the Judiciary, Judicial Service Commission announces.

Boyani, who is taking over from Anne Amadi, will serve in the capacity for a period of five years.

Prior to her appointment, Boyani served as the secretary to the Judicial Service Commission since 2012.

In her new role, she will serve as the Chief Administrator and Accounting Officer of the judiciary. She will also be the secretary to the Judicial Service Commission as well as the Secretary to the National Council on Administration of Justice.

Boyani joined the judiciary in 1997 where she served as a District Magistrate II, Resident Magistrate, Senior Resident Magistrate, Principal Magistrate and Senior Principal Magistrate.

She holds a Bachelors of Law degree from University of Nairobi and a Post graduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law.

Boyani was selected among seven interviewees. The position of Chief Registrar attracted 43 applications following advertisement on October 23, 2023.
