Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is now accusing the National Intelligence Service (NIS) of deploying its officers to monitor him when he attended a funeral service in Mbooni, Makueni County.
Taking to his social media pages on Thursday, December 19 afternoon, Gachagua exposed a car and an individual he claims was deployed by NIS to monitor everything he does in Makueni, including listening and recording his speech.
National intelligence Service, please deploy this vehicle and this officer to do some useful work to enhance our security as a Nation.

It was pointless to waste fuel and man hours having him follow us all the way from Nairobi to Makueni yesterday.
It would save public funds… pic.twitter.com/Zr0UwyiLyf
According to Gachagua, the move was a complete waste of public funds, as NIS could have used its officers based in Makueni County to do just that.
“It was pointless to waste fuel and man hours having him follow us all the way from Nairobi to Makueni yesterday. It would save public funds to detail your officers in Makueni to listen to what am saying, record and send to you instead of wasting public funds,” Gachagua wrote.
Accompanied by his wife Pastor Dorcas and other opposition politicians, Gachagua joined mourners and the people of Kalawa Ward, Mbooni Constituency in Makueni County to condole the family of Bishop Dr. Francis Mulinge, the National Chairman of the United Clergy Alliance, on the loss of their matriarch Agness Mwikali Muiya.
“On my own behalf and on behalf of my family, I send my deepest sympathies to the family, friends of the late Mama Agnes; I pray for God’s mercies to be upon the family to bear the loss. May Agness Mwikali’s Soul rest in eternal peace and perpetual light shine upon her forever.”
