Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua visited Kapsabet Boys High School on Sunday following a tragic accident on Saturday that killed a student, a teacher, and left many others injured.
The incident occurred in the Patkawanin area on the Kabarnet-Marigat highway in Baringo County.
Gachagua expressed his condolences and deepest sympathies to the students, teachers, and parents of Kapsabet High School for the unfortunate loss of the two individuals.
He promised to speak with President William Ruto about purchasing a new bus for the institution.
“I will speak with the President later today, and I am confident that he will arrange for a replacement bus to enable you to resume your tours,” he affirmed.
Gachagua assured the remaining students that doctors are attending to the injured students to ensure their recovery and return to school.
He also urged drivers, especially those ferrying school children, to be vigilant to prevent such incidents in the future.
