Girl arrested for refusing to attend school defiled by Police Officer

A girl was detained at Kaptumo police station in Nandi South after her parents brought her in for refusing to attend school.

Hours after her family left her in police custody it is reported that she was allegedly defiled by a police who was on duty.

OCPD Peter Mbua confirmed that Constable Jared Okada locked the girl inside the police cells after she received her.

Immediately the parents went back home, the said officer forcefully raped the Secondary School learner.

When his duty ended, he passed the case to his female colleague who brought the girl out for questioning.

It is when she revealed what she had encountered in the cells with Constable Okada.

The girl said that she had been sexually harassed by the the officer.

The OCPD noted that the Directorate of Criminal Investigations has launched investigations to arrest the officer who could not be traced.
