A 14-year-old girl who scored 343 marks in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams has revealed her intentions to do casual jobs to raise school fees for form one admission.
Mercy Muloko from Nzalae area of Nguutani ward in Mwingi West, Kitui County has stated that she can do available casual jobs since her mother was not in position to raise money needed for her admission to high school.
Speaking to TV47 on Sunday January 28, Mercy called on the county government of Kitui, and well wishers to help her pursue her dream of becoming a lawyer.
According to Mercy, she can only achieve her dreams if she gets a chance to join form one and continue with her education in secondary school and beyond.
Mercy had received an admission letter to join form one at Thitani Girls High school but has not yet joined the institution owing to the poor state of her family.
