Governor Barasa and Western Leaders unite behind Ruto, pledge support for 2027 elections

A group of leaders from Western Kenya has vowed to stand firmly behind President William Ruto ahead of the 2027 elections.

Led by Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa and Lugari MP Nabii Nabwera, the leaders declared that the Kenya Kwanza government has brought significant development to the region.

Making Ruto their preferred choice for the future.

Speaking at a fundraiser held at Sipande Primary School in Lugari Constituency, Kakamega County, the leaders praised the government for initiating numerous projects in Western Kenya.

They emphasized that the region stands to gain more by supporting Ruto than any other leader.

Governor Barasa highlighted the tangible benefits the region has already seen under the current administration, urging residents to rally behind the president for continued progress.

The leaders also addressed the ongoing debate around the Social Health Authority (SHA) registration.

Ruto for 2027

They criticized a section of leaders for spreading misinformation and urged all Kenyans to register for the SHA to ensure access to healthcare benefits.

Nabii Nabwera, the Lugari MP, called on citizens to ignore propaganda and take advantage of the opportunities provided by the government.

Present at the event were several prominent figures, including Farouk Kibet, Governor Fernandes Barasa, and MPs Benard Shinali (Ikolomani), Titus Khamala (Lurambi), Emanuel Wangwe (Navakholo), Fred Ikana (Shinyalu), Tindi Mwale (Butere), Innocent Mugabe (Likuyani), and Nabii Nabwera (Lugari).

Together, they expressed their commitment to working with the national government to bring more development to Western Kenya.

The leaders also raised concerns about what they described as an unfortunate wave of propaganda against the SHA.

They emphasized the importance of the program in providing healthcare security for all Kenyans and urged residents to register without hesitation.

There is the growing support for President Ruto in Western Kenya, with leaders and residents alike recognizing the benefits of his administration’s development agenda. As the 2027 elections approach, the region’s leaders are sending a clear message: they stand with Ruto and believe in his vision for a better Kenya.
