Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja on Tuesday, December 24 flagged off 17 trucks loaded with foodstuff to be distributed across all 17 sub-counties in the city.
Speaking at Lady Northey Grounds in Dagoretti North Sub-County, Governor Sakaja emphasized the importance of remembering those less fortunate during the festive season.
“Christmas can be a challenging time for many families, especially those struggling to make ends meet. Let us share with others during this festive season. I wish you all a Merry Christmas,” Sakaja said.
The trucks, packed with essentials like maize flour, wheat flour, cooking oil, and rice, were dispatched to ensure equitable distribution to vulnerable families in each sub-county.
“We thank Governor Sakaja for this Christmas gift; now we can celebrate with joy,” said Knight Shimuli, a beneficiary.
The initiative not only provides relief but fosters a spirit of community and togetherness during the festive season.
