Nairobi County Executive, led by Governor Sakaja Johnson, marked Valentine’s Day by visiting various primary schools where Dishi na County is served in the sub-counties and sharing meals with residents.
Governor Sakaja visited Aga Khan Primary School, his alma mater. Returning to the school where he once studied as a young boy, now as Governor, was a moment of deep reflection and gratitude for him.
Speaking at the event, Governor Sakaja expressed his joy over the success of the Dishi na County school feeding program, calling it a dream come true.
“I am happy to be here with you this Valentine’s Day. It brings me great joy to return to my former school—not as a student, but as your Governor—to share a meal and celebrate this special day together,” he said.
During his visit, the Governor also pledged to address challenges at the school.
“I have heard about the challenges facing this school—one that I proudly attended from 1991 as a student. Now, as your Governor, I will ensure we work together to resolve the various challenges your principal has briefed me about,” he assured.
The day’s events highlighted the Governor’s commitment to both education and community well-being, making this Valentine’s Day a meaningful and impactful celebration for Nairobi residents.
