Kenyan content creator Rebecca Livingston, also known as ‘Grandrising,’ has passed away.
Grandrising gained widespread recognition for her TikTok videos, which resonated deeply with her dedicated fan base.
Her account skyrocketed in popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing much-needed entertainment and solace to her viewers during those challenging times.
Despite her age, she resonated with the platform and the wide array of audience which is rather predominantly young.
Grieving Grandrising
Among her grieving peers is controversial TitToker Nyako Pilot, who mourned Rebecca’s passing.
Additionally, with a substantial following of over 50k on TikTok, Grandrising had a profound impact on her audience.
Consequently TikTok bigwig Nyako Pilot emphasized that Grandrising’s death has deprived Kenyans of an incredible woman. Regardless of the nature of her content, her soul was precious and deserving of celebration.
Grandrising centered her content on empowering women in single motherhood or marriages.

Rebecca’s ailment
Reports circulating on social media allege that Rebecca Livingston was battling cancer, which may have ultimately claimed her life.
Grandrising’s daughter revealed that the family was shocked by her sudden passing.
Her daughter further went on to explain that her mother had assured them of her well-being on the morning of the day she passed away.
Unfortunately, things did not work out and on the morning of September 14, Grandrising passed on.
However, Grandrising had previously mentioned that she was not feeling well around two weeks ago.
In this light, Grandrising sought medical examination and assessment, but no issues were found.
Just days before her passing, she had informed her loved ones that she was feeling better.
Her daughter narrated that she even spoke to friends that very morning. However, her health took a sudden turn later in the day, leading to her tragic demise on her way to the hospital.
Grandrising’s demise comes as an utter surprise on the backdrop of artists and content creators passing on.
