During a candid interview, Guardian Angel shared details about his relationship with Esther Musila, addressing misconceptions about their love.
Contrary to public belief, the gospel artist did not marry Esther, who is older than him, because he was seeking motherly affection.
Guardian Angel explained that he experienced enough motherly love from his mother and wasn’t longing for it in a partner.
“When I met my wife, I wasn’t looking for a mother. I had received motherly love from my mum,” he clarified, dismissing assumptions that age played a role in his choice of partner.
Interestingly, Guardian Angel admitted that marriage wasn’t even on his mind when he met Esther.
He had already decided against it, and their relationship wasn’t initially intended to lead to marriage.
“When I met Esther, I wasn’t thinking about getting married. It wasn’t part of my plan,” he revealed.
However, their connection grew quickly. Just two weeks after meeting, the couple moved in together.
Guardian Angel was deeply touched by Esther’s genuine care for him, especially how she supported his music and his personal growth. “She was so passionate about my life and career.
That’s something you don’t find every day,” he shared.
Guardian Angel initially wanted to keep their relationship platonic, but it wasn’t long before the bond between them deepened.
After collaborating on a music video shoot, the singer felt something special.
“We hugged, and that hug sparked something. Three days later, we talked about it, and everything changed,” he recounted.
Esther had initial concerns about how their relationship might be perceived, but Guardian Angel assured her that he was ready to live his life on his terms, free from the opinions of others.
“I told her, ‘I don’t care what people are saying, how do you feel?’” he shared.
Though there was some initial tension from their families, Guardian Angel’s mother and Esther’s children eventually came to accept the relationship.
“At first, my mom wasn’t thrilled, but with time, she understood,” Guardian Angel said.
