Harmonize: I am quitting music, too much hatred in the industry

Tanzania’s sensation, Rajab Abdul Kahali, better known as Harmonize, is contemplating an abrupt exit from the music scene, citing an overwhelming surge of animosity.

Expressing his dismay through social media channels, Kondeboy boldly claims that sinister forces within the music industry are conspiring to thwart his journey.

In spite of pouring my heart and soul into my craft, the tide of hostility has become unbearable. I’m on the verge of surrendering my musical mantle to those who wish to see me fall,” lamented the disillusioned artist.

Harmonize doesn’t mince words when he asserts that he’s well aware of the disdain directed towards him, viewing it as a calculated effort to derail his career trajectory.

“Najua nachukiwa ila huu ni mpango rasmi wakunipoteza. Daah Sawa. Namuachia mungu,” Harmonize shared.

But wait, there’s more to this saga. In a bold move, the “Never Give Up” maestro reveals his intention to pivot towards a new career path, eyeing victory in a high-profile showdown against boxer Hassan Mwakinyo.

“Let me focus na kumchapa Mwakinyo ili nibadilishe profession, cuku ni nyingi sana huku. Pengine kutakuwa na amani. I know I can do it God help me,” Harmonize wrote.

This turmoil comes hot on the heels of a heated exchange between Kondeboy and his former mentor, Diamond Platnumz. Sparks flew when Platnumz boasted about nurturing talent in the industry, including Harmonize.

This did not sit well with Harmonize who felt like Diamond kept reminding people that he was the one that helped him succeed.

Diamond responded by saying he has to be proud of him and invited him to his show.

“Tajiri na mali zake, maskini na wanawe. Mali sina, acha nijivunie na nyie wanangu wa dhahabu. Kwenye 15 years, nataka tufanye event moja ya ukoo mzima and we celebrate kidogo, Mungu alichotubariki.”

Their feud escalated as Kondeboy accused Platnumz of pulling strings behind the scenes to blacklist him from lucrative gigs, further escalating the tension.

“Ni vile unajivunia sana hadi inachosha, tena unajivuniaga pale unapotaka huruma ya watu. Kisirisiri unawaambiaga waandaa show, hasa za nchi ya nje kwamba nikiwepo mimi huwezikuzifanya maana tutaonekana tupo level moja….”

Once nurtured by Diamond Platnumz at WCB Music Label, Harmonize now faces challenges that have his fans and the industry holding their breath, hoping he’ll keep shining on stage.

Kondeboy used to be part of Diamond Platnumz’s WCB music label until they went separate ways in 2022. Harmonize has recently shared that he paid a significant amount to exit the label.
