Former Tusker FC defender Harold Ndege has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) following his approval by the FKF National Executive Committee (NEC) on Friday.
Ndege replaces Patrick Korir, who resigned earlier this month after serving in an acting capacity since October 2024.
FKF President Hussein Mohammed Welcomes Ndege’s Appointment
FKF President Hussein Mohammed expressed confidence in Ndege’s leadership, citing his vast experience in football administration and management.
“Harold Ndege has his work cut out for him, and we are pleased to have finalized this process. His experience in both football administration and management will be crucial in steering FKF forward. I would also like to extend my gratitude to Patrick Korir for his professionalism and dedication during this transition period. To ensure a smooth handover, Korir will continue guiding the incoming CEO in the coming weeks.”
Ndege’s Experience and Role at FKF
Ndege boasts over 13 years of managerial experience in both the private and public sectors. He currently serves as the Vice Chair of the East Africa Pamoja AFCON 2027 and CHAN 2025 Finance Committee, reinforcing his strong background in football governance and financial management.
As FKF CEO, his core responsibilities will include:Enhancing governance and transparency within FKF, Strengthening financial management and accountability, Improving operational efficiency in football administration and Elevating Kenya’s football structures to meet international standards.

Ndege’s appointment comes at a critical time for FKF as Kenya looks to raise its footballing standards, develop talent, and strengthen its international standing. His leadership will be pivotal in shaping the future of Kenyan football ahead of major events like the 2025 CHAN and 2027 AFCON.
