Bayern Munich and England captain Harry Kane has moved to reassure fans about his fitness despite battling multiple injury concerns in recent matches.
The prolific striker admitted that a jaw injury sustained in last Saturday’s Bundesliga clash against Bayer Leverkusen continues to trouble him. Additionally, Bayern’s Sporting Director Max Eberl revealed that Kane has been dealing with an ankle issue, which hampered his movement in the first half of Bayern’s Champions League encounter with Celtic.
Kane Plays Down Injury Fears
Despite these setbacks, Kane was quick to downplay concerns, insisting that his injuries are not serious. Speaking to reporters, the 30-year-old forward simply stated:
“I’m OK.”
However, Bayern manager Vincent Kompany remained cautious about his star striker’s condition, saying:
“At this moment, I can’t say how long he’ll be out for.”
He added that Bayern’s medical team will continue to monitor Kane’s recovery.
Bayern Relying on Kane’s Firepower
Since his blockbuster transfer from Tottenham Hotspur last summer, Kane has been a key figure for Bayern, leading their attack with his goal-scoring brilliance.
With crucial fixtures on the horizon, the Bavarian giants will be desperate to have their talisman fit and firing.
His absence would be a major blow as Bayern continues its fight for Bundesliga glory and European success.
England’s Euro 2024 Hopes at Stake
Kane’s fitness is also a pressing concern for England, with Euro 2024 fast approaching. Thomas Tuchel and the England coaching staff will be keeping a close eye on his recovery, as he remains central to their tournament ambitions.
Bayern Fans Hope for Quick Return
With multiple competitions still in play, Kane’s availability could be decisive in Bayern’s push for silverware. Fans will be hoping their goal machine can shake off these injuries and return to peak form soon.
