He scored 307 marks in 2022 KCPE but is yet to join form one

Bravin Mwendwa, a 16-year-old pupil from Mwingi town, Kitui County, scored 307 marks in his KCPE back in 2022, is still waiting to join form one.

Mwendwa was urged by his mother to wait for his sister to complete form four first, before he could join high school due to inadequate funds.

But even after his sister sat for her Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams, Bravin is yet to join form one because of the deteriorating poor state of the family.

Bravin now does odd jobs to ensure his siblings do not sleep on an empty stomach after their mother left for Nairobi to look for a job.

Mwanziu Maithya, a good Samaritan who takes care of them pleaded for leaders and well wishers to help Bravian enroll to a secondary school.

She said the mother of the children is currently jobless and in Nairobi.
