Here is what happened to X social media platform

Just hours after X formerly Twitter announced it to be working on improvements on the platform.

Users Worldwide faced an outage on its services, according to Downdetector.com over 47,000 U.S. users faced access issues with X and X Pro.

Users in Canada, Britain, France and other countries including Kenya reported issues with accessing its services.

Users encountered a message that said “Waiting for posts.

The outage gave its rivals traffic where users went to Meta-owned Facebook, Instagram and Threads to discuss the difficulties they faced and or experienced while trying to load content on the platform.

As of 2023, there are approximately 556 million active monthly users on the platform. As of October 2023, it receives around 6.14 billion visits per month.

Many have however attributed the issue to a shorthanded staff, Billionner Elon Musk laid off a huge number of Twitter employees when he bought the platform to the tune of 44 billion dollars.

Layoff also touched numerous engineers responsible for fixing and preventing service outages.
