Political analyst Herman Manyora on Friday, August 18 claimed that Azimio leader Raila Odinga wants to finish Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s political career.
Manyora claimed that sending Kalonzo to lead the Azimio team for national dialogue at the Bomas of Kenya was a way of killing the political career of the Wiper party leader.
“Kalonzo Musyoka, run away from Bomas, and while outside look inside and you will see Raila Odinga delivering you to the slaughterhouse. Bomas is a trap. Abandon that position to Opiyo Wandayi who’s at the Kimani Ichung’wa level,” Manyora Tweeted.
The political analyst maintained that Kalonzo was too senior to be involved in the talks but instead, National Assembly Minority leader Opiyo Wandayi would have led the Azimio delegation.
Manyora’s revelation comes barely two days after National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah and Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi, jointly tabled a motion to form the National Dialogue Committee.
The move was aimed at ensuring the national dialogue process was anchored in law, to help avoid legal hurdles in the talks.
The national dialogue team will within 60 days table a report to the House leadership before presenting the same in Parliament.
The delegation from Kenya Kwanza is being led by Kimani Ichung’wah, with Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire, Nandi Senator Aaron Cheruiyot, Omar Hassan Omar, and Catherine Wambilianga as members.
On the other hand, lawyer Muthomi Thiankolu, Dr. Linda Musumba, Dr. Duncan Ojwang, and Nick Biketi are members of the Kenya Kwanza technical team.
Kalonzo Musyoka is the leader for the Azimio team while Opiyo Wandayi, Amina Mnyazi, Eugene Wamalwa, and Senator Okong’o Mogeni are members.
Azimio Technical Team comprises Jubilee party secretary general Jeremiah Kioni, Prof. Adams Oloo, Abubakar Zein Abubakar, and Lynn Ngugi.
The 10-member dialogue committee team was tasked with the responsibility of seeking to unlock the standoff between President William Ruto and Azimio leader Raila Odinga.
