History makers: Manchester City have clinched fourth successive EPL title

Manchester City beat West Ham United 3-1 in the final season 2023/24 match, courtesy of goals from a brace by Phil Foden and a goal from Rodrigo, to record their fourth successive Premier League title chase, putting to rest the long wait of who would clinch the trophy between the Citizens and Arsenal.

Manchester City has shuttered Arsenal’s dream of lifting the trophy for the second time in a row despite the Gunner’s exemplary performance through out the season.

CIty have now become the first men’s team in the history of English football to win four top-flight titles in a row.

This also It represents City’s tenth top-flight league title – and the sixth time in seven seasons we have won the Premier League, continuing Pep Guardiola’s remarkable record since taking charge of the club back in 2016.

This latest Premier League title success is the third trophy City have won during the 2023/24 season, building on the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup victories earlier in the campaign.

City now have an opportunity to become the first side in English football history to win back-to-back Premier League and FA Cup Doubles when we face Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley on 25 May.

On the other hand Erling Haaland has won the Premier League Golden Boot for a second successive season. The Norwegian striker is again the league’s leading marksman, with his haul of 27 goals beating runner up Cole Palmer of Chelsea, who scored 22 times. 

It follows a record breaking 36 goals in his debut campaign, with the 23-year-old now just the fifth man to claim the award outright in consecutive seasons.
