Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen together with Deputy IG Kenya Police, Mr. Eliud Lagat on December 25, 2024 spent their day with multi-agency security Officers at Ng’aratuko Rapid Deployment Unit Camp, Tot, Kainuk and Turkwell camps in North Rift Region.
CS Murkomen appreciated the officers for the work they have done in restoring normalcy in the region under Operation Maliza Uhalifu. Similarly, DIG Lagat also commended the officers for their selflessness to serve.
Likewise, Deputy IG APS, Mr. Gilbert Masengeli stepped up efforts to ensure road safety and security during the festive season, by visiting key locations along the Kajiado-Namanga road, including the Isinya Weighbridge, Bull’s Eye-Ilbissil Traffic checkpoint, Maili Tisa Multi-agency Roadblock. At Namanga One Stop Border Post, DIG Masengeli was briefed by the officers from Immigration, Police and KRA teams, and he commended them for their teamwork.
While addressing the media in Kajiado, DIG Masengeli reiterated the importance of adhering to traffic rules, urging motorists to exercise discipline to ensure safety on the roads.
Accompanying DIG Lagat is Director of Logistics KPS-Mr. Peter Ndung’u, SAIG, AIG, Head of Operations GSU Mr. William Sawe, SSP, while the team of DIG Masengeli included NPS Spokesperson-Dr. Resila Onyango, AIG, Director Operations APS-Mr. Jackson Kangani, AIG, Director Operations DCI Mr. Richard Mwaura, and AIG, Deputy Director Operations KPS Mr. Bernard Mbatha.
