Mumias East MP Peter Salasya, has found himself embroiled in a public drama, after his advances towards Huddah Monroe took a bitter turn.
The incident, which started with the politician’s expression of interest in the socialite, quickly escalated into an online confrontation after Huddah rejected his affections.
Salasya’s Romantic Advances
The Member of Parliament had openly displayed his admiration for Huddah Monroe, a renowned socialite known for her outspokenness and entrepreneurial ventures.
In what appeared to be a move to woo her, Salasya reportedly sent Huddah KSh 10,000, perhaps as a kind gesture or an attempt to impress her.
However, things did not go as planned.
Huddah Monroe Turns Down Salasya’s Advances
Huddah, who has built a strong reputation as a confident and financially independent woman, did not take the money in good spirits.
Instead, she turned down Salasya’s romantic overtures and took to social media to express her sentiments, making it clear that she refunded him back his money.
“This guy sent me Ksh10, 000 which I didn’t even notice because I do Ksh50,000 give aways.
Mimi si kienyeji bro, tafuta size yako.” Huddah shared.
“Let the members know that I refunded chicken money,” she added
In her posts, she made it clear that she was not interested and seemingly ridiculed the money the MP had sent her, referring to it as ‘chicken money’, a move that did not sit well with Salasya.
Huddah’s online response, where she demeaned the amount of money, triggered Salasya’s wrath.
The politician, known for his outspoken nature, was not one to let the matter slide without retaliation.
He quickly launched an online rant, criticizing Huddah for her attitude and unapologetic rejection of his gesture.
Salasya’s Online Outburst
Salasya’s reaction went viral as he aired his grievances through various platforms.
In a string of posts, he took direct shots at Huddah, accusing her of arrogance and disrespect.
He lamented her reaction to the money he had sent and her decision to publicly shame him over it.
His outburst painted a picture of a man hurt and offended by Huddah’s actions.
The legislator also questioned Huddah’s character, going as far as insinuating that she was ungrateful and haughty, given her humble beginnings.
His tirade highlighted his belief that he had done nothing wrong by sending the money and expressed disappointment at how the socialite had handled the situation.
Huddah Leaks Salasya’s Texts
In a move that further escalated the feud, Huddah decided to leak private conversations between herself and Salasya.
The texts, which she shared on her Instagram stories, showed the MP’s attempts to know how she’s doing.
The text which read “Hi” from the MP is what was posted.
“After all the lies you told about me.
After slandering me and ruining my reputation.
You still have the audacity to say ‘hi’. I am really disappointed you did not deserve my kindness.” Huddah said.
In a pist that was shared by Nairobi Gossip Club, the Membet of Parliament did not hesitate to clap back at Huddah again.
He replied in a comment by saying;
“Mama Huddah is desperate for kiki.
I am really a brand if just a hi is trending.
Mumias East to the world.” Salasya commented.
Huddah’s decision to expose the private conversations has led to a mixed reaction online.
While some netizens have criticized her for leaking the texts, others have applauded her for standing her ground and not giving in to the politician’s advances.
