Mesa County Sheriff’s Office deputies were summoned to respond to a report of a suspicious incident around 2:30 p.m.

The unsettling revelation unfolded as the new owners, engaged in property cleanup.
Further, they decided to include the freezer in an online listing for “free stuff.”
The discovery of the human head occurred after someone responded to the listing and claimed the freezer.
A neighbour, wishing to remain anonymous, shared that a mother and son vacated the premises last week, two years following the death of the husband and father.
The departure seemed hurried, leaving various discarded items in the front yard, including the ill-fated freezer.
According to the neighbour, the head became visible when it “fell out” of the bag during the emptying process.
Law enforcement, treating the incident as an “isolated” one, is considering it a potential homicide but has assured the public that there is no perceived ongoing threat.
Details remain scant, and authorities have not disclosed any further information. The identity of the remains, as well as any potential suspects, is yet to be determined in this disturbing investigation.
