Police in Nairobi’s Huruma area have arrested a 29-year-old man suspected of brutally killing his wife.
The chilling incident unfolded early Tuesday, January 21, when officers on patrol stopped the suspect, John Kiama Wambua, walking near Kelly Towers at around 5:00 a.m.
A routine search of Wambua’s bag turned into a horrifying discovery: human body parts.
When questioned, he admitted the remains belonged to his wife, 19-year-old Joy Fridah Munani.
He led the police to his house, where they unearthed more body parts hidden beneath his bed.
The scene was gruesome, with blood-stained floors, a kitchen knife, and female clothing recovered from the premises.
The police described the incident as deeply disturbing. Joy’s body was taken to the City Mortuary for a postmortem examination, while Wambua was detained at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) offices in Starehe.
Detectives have launched investigations to uncover the motive behind the heinous act.
This tragic event has sent shockwaves through the Huruma community, leaving neighbours in disbelief.
