Isaiah Carrier, commonly known as Baba Jimmy, shared the story behind his marriage to Mama Jimmy in a popular TikTok video.

He revealed that he and Mama Jimmy, chose to have a modest, nighttime church wedding to avoid a large crowd.

Baba Jimmy, who values simplicity, was drawn to Mama Jimmy because of her natural beauty and traditional upbringing.

He prefers ‘kienyeji’ women, meaning those from a rural background, who live away from modern city life.

In a YouTube video, Baba Jimmy explained that he had been looking for a simple partner who matched his own values.

He noted that he was not interested in a woman who used makeup, highlighting his preference for natural beauty. He described Mama Jimmy as the perfect match for him.

The couple, now based in the US with their two children, also discussed their relationship’s backstory.

Baba Jimmy revealed that when he proposed to Judy (Mama Jimmy), she had dropped out of high school due to financial difficulties.

They met when they were both 14 years old, and he proposed after praying for about four months.

Although they do not have a formal marriage certificate due to complications with Mama Jimmy’s ID, they consider their marriage fully valid in God’s eyes, having been married with their parents’ approval.

Baba Jimmy and Mama Jimmy, who recently moved to a 36-acre ranch in Kentucky, also adhered to traditional marriage practices, including paying dowry in the form of cows, money, and other valuables.

Mama Jimmy shared that financial struggles prevented her from completing her education.

She fondly recalled his visits to her family home during her school years. Baba Jimmy, who used to be a musician and missionary, produced Swahili gospel songs in his home studio.
