‘Navutishwa’ hit singer Benson Mutua popularly known as Bensoul has revealed that he is a university dropout.
Speaking on a national radio station, Bensoul said that he enrolled as a civil engineer student but dropped out eventually to pursue music.
He added that he had no regrets at all as his music career is now paying up.
“I quit school, I was studying civil engineering and I said I wanna do music like full time and by then I wasn’t a superstar in any way,” he told Kiss FM.

The singer appreciated his mother who supported this move and encouraged him to pursue his dreams.
“For sure she was a bit afraid about it but she still supported me, thanks to my mum maze, she supported me in so many ways and did not judge me like other parents do.”
Upon being asked about his rate card, he said he charges KSh 750,000 for a show perfomance.
“750,000 and it is not for kiki or anything. When you look at my rate card, the shows that I do they must pay me that much, lazima wafike hii bei,” he said.
Upon further probing on what the KSh 750,000 fee note entailed, he broke it down to include; transport and drinks.
“The KSh750,000 includes a changing room, a ride to the venue for me and my squad, drinks, good space,” concluded the Award-winning artiste.
Bensoul break up with girlfriend
Bensoul recently made headlines after split with long time girlfriend Noni Gathoni, a relationship that had been highly publicized.
The two according to Bensoul ended things because their romance had reached its saturation point.
