Githunguri member of parliament Gathoni Wamuchomba has hit out at civil servants still in office after they had attained retirement age.

In an exclusive interview with George Maringa on Power and Politics on TV47, Gathoni Wamuchomba shared that civil servants past 60 years should retire.

Gathoni Wamuchomba also shared with Maringa that she supported the motion proposed by Gen Z on civil servants retiring at 60.

In an exclusive interview with TV47’s George Maringa on Power and politics Githunguri MP shared that those above 60 years should retire and go farm.

“The Gen Z’s stated that at the age of 60, you retire. I support the Gen Z, 60 enda ukalime.” she stated.

Is Gathoni Wamuchomba almost retiring?

Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba shared with George Maringa that she would in turn also retire when she gets to 60 years old.

Additionally, she made fun of the moment stating that she too was not far from 60 years of age.

Moreover, she made merry with how flamboyant Gen Zers are online when researching the ages of elected leaders on various social media platforms.

According to Wamuchomba, she highlighted that most Gen Zers stated that they check their knuckles to tell their age.

Wamuchomba clarified that she was fully behind Gen Zers joining civil service and taking up other slots on appointments to help articulate Gen Z grievances better.

Githunguri constituency projects

During her sit down with TV47’s Political journalist George Maringa, MP Wamuchomba updated viewers on the progress of the constituency projects.

One such project was the state of Kibichoi police station. She clarified that the police station was slotted for the next two financial years.

Additionally, she highlighted that the Ikinu Police Station was slotted first over its lacking state.

In a streak of accountability, MP Wamuchomba addressed issues on Gathiru-Ini School sanitation.

She clarified that she cleared pending bills for Gathiru-Ini School first using the past two financial years.

Moreover, clearing these bills will give way for the much-needed upgrade and maintenance of the school’s facilities without pending bills.
