Mumias East Member of Parliament (MP) Peter Salasya has disclosed that he wants three wives, despite rejecting numerous marriage proposals from ladies.
Salasya, who is still single, divulged that he would want a polygamous family in future but did not specify the number of children he would like to sire.
“Issue ya marriage pia ni ngumu. I’ll be a polygamous obviously. I’ll have three wives. When I want to marry, number one asinipimie na number tu akubali kukaa home. Asiangalie simu yangu.
(This issue of marriage is very hard. I’ll be a polygamous man obviously. I’ll have three wives. When I want to marry, wife number one should not protests, and number two should agree to remain home. They should also not pry into my phone),” he explained.
He recalled an incidence where a former lover broke his phone out of anger after prying into his phone and reading through his conversations.
“Nilikuwa na mwingine akapiga simu yangu ya elfu mia tatu ikapasuka. Aliona message. Messages zitaingia tu.
(I had a woman who broke my phone worth KSh300,000 and damaged it completely. She saw some messages and she was not happy),” the lawmaker narrated.
Salasya set the record straight on that, saying he would like to have a partner who allows him to “cheat peacefully”.
On the ideal qualities of a wife, the lawmaker listed a few which he said were the top priority for him.
“Also, I dont want someone violent. Nikimkosea heri aninyamazie lakinini asinieke kofi. Asinipigie kelele. Wa kunipimia ntamhepa. Apende nyumbani. Apike vitu za kienyeji tu kama mrere, kunde na sukuma na vitu kama managu na samaki.
(Also, I don’t want someone violent. When I wrong her she had better just go silent on me rather than slap me or shout at me. If she does that I’ll leave her. She should also love being at home and cook traditional foods like mrere, kunde, kales, black nightshade and fish)”.
Salasya recently rejected marriage proposal from a woman named Lavyn Shantell.
“MP PK Salasya marry me. Ready to settle,” read her placard.
He rejected the proposal however saying “I have heard that this is trending and am not sure if I can handle her”.
Salasya was however kind enough to invite her for a cup of tea in Kakamega where he probed her further into her desire to settle down with him.
