Tanzanian artiste Naseeb Abdul Juma, widely known as Diamond Platnumz, has pleaded with his fellow countrymen, urging them to support President Samia Hassan Suluhu as she guides the nation through challenging economic times.

Speaking about President Suluhu, Diamond emphasized her capability and worthiness as a leader, asserting that she should be allowed to govern the country in the manner she deems best.

He pointed out that having a female president, a first in Tanzania, should not be a cause for doubt. He encouraged women to embrace this historic moment and resist detractors who seek to tarnish her reputation.

“It is the first time we have had a female president. If our mothers were able to guide us, how could President Suluhu be incapable? Ladies, this is the first time we have a female leader representing you. Therefore, you should not heed the negative voices attempting to undermine her,” said the 34-year-old musician.

The cost of living has been surging, with fuel prices reaching record highs. The progress of the Standard Gauge Railway has also faced delays, and the opposition has used these issues to criticize her leadership.

Diamond criticized the opposition, branding them as impediments that spread false information about President Suluhu. He implored everyone present to show respect and affection for President Suluhu, similar to how they would treat their own mothers.

“Those of us who were raised by single mothers must come together and support her leadership. If you love and respect the mother who raised you to where you are today, then you should believe that the current president is capable of leading us effectively,” stated the Wasafi boss.
