Wycliffe Oparanya the newly appointed Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development has issued a stern warning to the government .
Speaking during a church service in South B, Nairobi on Sunday August 11, Oparanya said that he heard the voices of the youth in the country including their desperate plea for help.
Oparanya emphasizes his commitment to addressing youth unemployment and promised to stop the crisis.
”These people have searched and realized that this old man can help them do the job. I will. But if I tell them to go one direction and they refuse, I will quit and go back home,” he added
He threatened to resign if his advice is disregarded.
”I see the young people ,Gen Z are saying that they don’t have businesses and jobs. I am now here and I will make sure that they get the jobs,” Oparanya said
Meanwhile, Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka advised Kenyan youth to closely monitor advertised government contract and procurement processes, aiming to expose any irregularities.
