Business activities in Limuru clothes market have stalled the better part today after loaders who supply sellers with their stock losing their donkeys to suspected illegal donkey slaughters in Ndeiya Sub County in Limuru Constituency.
Agitated loaders condemned the business of donkey slaughtering which is very rampant in the country where they said the animals was only their hopes to help them to easen carrying huge loads which is more than 100 kilograms where they called Security team to enhance patrols.
Business man Yori Yori Mitumba called upon Ministry of Trade in collaboration with Foreign Affairs to scrutinize the importers of goods to China and other Countries which are highly suspected demanding donkey skins where now the animal is now an endangered species since it gives birth once per year.
Limuru market Coordinator John Maina condemned Ndeiya Police officers who thwarted their efforts to nab the suspected Toyota Probox vehicle where he is now calling Kiambu County Police Commander to launch investigation and interrogate Police officers from Ndeiya Police Station who they are suspecting are protecting illegal business in the area.

While confirming the incident Limuru Sub County Police Commander Philip Mwania said the patrols will be enhanced where he urged owners of the donkey within Limuru to be vigilant and protect the animal which has become a target of the said criminals.
