On Saturday, April 26 evening, the Secretary General of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), Hassan Omar Hassan, attended the 3K FC annual dinner as the Chief Guest at Winter Villa Resort in Embu County, underscoring the importance of nurturing football from the grassroots level.

The Chairperson of UDA, who is Embu Governor and the number one supporter of 3K FC Cecily Mbarire, hosted the distinguished gathering.

3K FC holds the distinction of being the first football club from Embu to represent the County in the esteemed National League, marking a significant milestone in the region’s footballing history.

During the event, the Secretary General emphasized the importance of clubs having strategic plans to guide their long-term vision and planning.

The Secretary General expressed immense pride in observing a club that possesses well-defined roadmaps for sustained success. He emphasized the necessity for clubs across the country to develop tools that facilitate informed decision-making and efficient resource mobilization, all aimed at achieving their targeted goals.

He also reiterated that discipline remains an indispensable element for the team’s triumph in football. “The culture of discipline serves as the panacea for a successful team in the field of football,” he said.

The SG acknowledged the unwavering commitment and outstanding leadership demonstrated by the President William Ruto and Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki in nurturing and advancing Kenya’s sports industry, expressing gratitude for their efforts in fostering an environment where sports, particularly football, can thrive and excel at national and international levels.

In attendance were Hussein Mohammed (FKF President), UDA Directors Rob Jillo (Communication), Halake Halake (Minorities & Marginalized Groups), Grace Gichovi (Events & Logistics), Sabastian Mwangangi (Special Advisor to the Secretary General), and Truphena Mbogo (Manager Diaspora Affairs).
