Indian teen Lalit Patidar breaks Guinness World Record for hairiest face

Lalit Patidar, an 18-year-old from India, has made history by securing a Guinness World Record for the hairiest face.

With an astonishing 201.72 hairs per square centimeter, he now holds the title for a condition that makes him truly one of a kind.

Lalit has Hypertrichosis, a rare condition that causes excessive hair growth anywhere on the body.

Despite its rarity, there are only 50 documented cases since the Middle Ages.

He has embraced his uniqueness and turned it into a moment of pride.

In an Instagram post, he shared his excitement, posting photos of himself holding the official Guinness certificate alongside clips from the record presentation.

His caption was simple but powerful: “Proud of me.”

Even with the recognition, Lalit admitted that the achievement still feels surreal.

“I am speechless,” he told Guinness World Records. “I don’t know what to say because I’m very happy to get this recognition.”

Childhood struggles

His journey hasn’t always been easy. Growing up, his appearance made school life challenging at first.

“The first days of school were not so good because the other kids were scared of me,” he recalled.

However, as time passed, his classmates saw beyond his appearance.

“When they started knowing me, when they started talking to me, they understood that I was not so different from them.”

For Lalit, true identity is more than skin deep.

“It was just on the outside that I looked different, but I’m not different inside,” he explained.

While he has encountered occasional negativity, most people treat him with kindness and respect.

“It depends on the person,” he added.

Through it all, his biggest source of strength has been his family.

“My family is very supportive, and they help me every day in everything,” he shared.

Whether it’s launching his YouTube channel or navigating life’s challenges, they have stood by him every step of the way.

When asked if he would change his appearance, his answer was clear.

“I like how I am,” he said. “I don’t want to change my look.”
