Harambee Stars interim head coach Francis Kimanzi has announced his final 24-man squad for the upcoming Mapinduzi Cup, set to kick off on January 3, 2025, in Pemba Island.
The team has been in a residential training camp at the Mpesa Foundation Academy in preparation for the tournament and is scheduled to travel to Pemba on January 2, 2025.
“We initially had a larger squad to analyze and give all players a chance to showcase their abilities. All 40 players in camp are of high quality, but we needed to narrow it down to 24 for the Mapinduzi Cup. This selection will serve as a foundation as we prepare for CHAN,” said Interim Head Coach Francis Kimanzi.
The tournament will run from January 3 to January 13, 2025, in Zanzibar, with official fixtures to be announced by the organizers in the coming days.
This competition provides an important opportunity for the Harambee Stars to continue their training ahead of the forthcoming African Nations Championship (CHAN), which will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
