Isiolo High Court Judge airlifted to Nairobi after road accident

Isiolo High Court Judge Thripsisa Wanjiku Wamae was airlifted to Nairobi for specialized treatment on Monday September 9, 2024 after she was involved in a road accident along the Eldama Ravine-Nakuru Highway.

This was after her vehicle veered off the road and landed in a ditch along the busy highway.

During the accident that occurred Monday afternoon, the High Court Judge was accompanied by her bodyguard and driver.

The Ford model car sustained significant damage to the front, including the windshield.

Mogotio OCPD Felician Nafula confirmed the occurrence, noting that the judge, along with two others in the vehicle were seriously injured.

According to the the police report, the judge was flown to Nairobi for specialized medical care, while her driver and bodyguard were moved to Valley Hospital in Nakuru.

Meanwhile, the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) stated that the judge is in a stable condition after the accident.

“Hon Lady Justice Thripsisa Wanjiku Wamae, a High Court Judge and Presiding Judge at Isiolo High Court, was in a road accident on the Eldama Ravine – Nakuru road.

“She is currently undergoing treatment and is reported to be in a stable state,” JSC noted in a statement.

In addition, the JSC wished a speedy recovery for the honorable Judge.

A traffic police officer was among individuals who arrived at the accident scene to assist the injured Judge.
