The tragic passing on of legendary actor Charles Ouda hit the socials on Sunday 4th February 2024.

The family released the sad information to the public through his Facebook page updated by Charles’ sister Elizabeth Ouda.

“It is with deep sorrow that the family of Charles ‘Charlie’ J. Ouda and Ciru Muriuki inform you of his passing on the night of 3rd February 2024.”

Over the last hours, Kenyans have been sending condolences messages to the family.

Actor Jackie Matubia has been left devastated as she and Charles were playing a role on Salem for season two of its run on Showmax.

Matubia shared pictures and videos of her and Charles having a good time at Salem show’s farewell party with fellow cast members.

Real Buggi remembered the Actor as a gifted artist, a father, brother and a mentor.

“Your light will always shine among us. Your impact will always be felt. My sincere condolences to the family. Shine on your way master,” he wrote.

Charles Ouda has been in the acting game for many years, with his break through on Makutano Junction.

The family has asked the public to give Ouda’s fiancée who is a former BBC journalist Ciru Muriuki space to grieve.

However, reasons for his death is still unknown.
