Jadon Sancho was indiscipline at Borussia Dortmund

Jadon Sancho faced disciplinary issues during his tenure at his former club Borussia Dortmund, which included staying up late playing video games.

According to Bild, Dortmund is contemplating re-signing the winger from Manchester United, but concerns about his past discipline record with the Bundesliga club are hindering the move.

Sancho found himself excluded from United’s training sessions in recent weeks after publicly claiming on social media that he had been unfairly treated by manager Erik ten Hag earlier in the month.

His future at Old Trafford is now uncertain, with other clubs closely monitoring his situation.

One club linked with Sancho is his former team, Dortmund, with whom he achieved significant success between 2017 and 2021.

However, Dortmund has reservations about bringing him back to the club due to concerns about his off-field activities during his previous stint in Germany.

Their primary worry is that Sancho reportedly didn’t get sufficient sleep at night due to his late-night video gaming and computer use.

Additionally, he had a history of arriving late for training, a concern that has also been raised during his time at United.

Sancho has occasionally taken private trips for one or two days at a time as well.

The report reveals that Sancho’s disciplinary issues were a subject of discussion behind the scenes at Dortmund, and senior figures at the club are apprehensive that his return could disrupt the current squad.

Another potential hurdle in securing a deal relates to the transfer fee. United is inclined towards a permanent sale rather than a loan and has set an asking price of €60 million which surpasses Dortmund’s budget.

Should Dortmund proceed with their interest in Sancho, it appears they will need to negotiate with United to find a compromise that satisfies both parties.

Sancho has made only three substitute appearances for United this season and has not been included in the squad since his social media outburst.
