Jambojet airline has announced disruptions of its flights after an incident on Monday December 2, 2024 at night when one of its aircrafts collided with poles at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
The aircraft rolled off a ramp while parked, hitting poles before stopping.
“We wish to report that no injuries occurred to our staff during this incident,” Jambojet noted in a statement.
The Company assured Kenyans that its team is working with the authorities to investigate the matter and ensure all necessary measures are taken to prevent a similar incident in future.
In addition, Jambojet reassured its customers that safety remains their top priority, and it remains committed to maintaining the highest standards in all its operations.
“We anticipate some flight disruptions due to this incident, and the affected guests will be communicated to directly,” it said.
“We apologise for the inconvenience caused and reiterate our commitment to the safety of our staff and customers.”
The partially damaged aircraft has been set aside for further maintenance, and will be cleared later to resume operations.
