Janet Otieno: Journey of faith and healing

Janet Achieng Otieno, known to many as Janet Otieno, is a celebrated gospel singer and songwriter.

Her powerful voice and inspiring lyrics have won her the Mwafaka Awards and a nomination at the Groove Awards in 2014 for “Collaboration of the Year” for her song “Napokea Kwako” featuring Christina Shusho from Tanzania.

Recently, Janet Otieno shared a heartfelt message on her Instagram, filled with gratitude and praise. She wrote, “Thanksgiving and Praise to God – He Is the Great Physician!!”

Janet just returned home to Kenya after spending two months ministering in the USA.

Despite the ongoing heated discussions around the #FinanceBill2024, she felt thankful to be back, safe and sound.

As a devout Christian and responsible citizen, she promised to continue advocating for fair taxation that benefits all Kenyans.

During her time in the USA, Janet faced a significant health scare. Being in a foreign land made the situation even more stressful and frightening.

However, she received excellent medical care, recovered, and was able to complete her tour.

She expressed her deep gratitude to her brother, MOG, and his family for their unwavering support during this challenging time.

This experience brought Janet closer to her faith.

She reflected, “Perhaps the Lord allows us to face challenges so that we turn to Him.

I sought His mercy for healing, and He granted it. Yes, He uses doctors to treat, but He is the one who heals.”

Janet’s journey reminded her of God’s countless acts of healing in her life, from minor cuts to more serious illnesses.

She gave all the glory to Him, recognizing His constant presence and care.

In her message, she concluded, “God bless you all!”
