A new lawsuit has been filed against rapper Jay-Z for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old girl during a party in the year 2000.
The same lawsuit also accuses Sean “Diddy” Combs of being involved. It is alleged that the incident happened after the MTV Music Awards in New York.
According to the lawsuit, the girl was drugged and then defiled by both men at a party hosted by Diddy.
Jay-Z has denied the claims, calling the lawsuit a “blackmail attempt.” He responded on social media, blasting the accusations and criticizing the plaintiff’s lawyer. His legal team is yet to issue an official statement.
Diddy has also denied the allegations. He is currently in jail on unrelated federal sex trafficking charges, for which he has pleaded not guilty.
Tony Buzbee, the lawyer for the alleged victim, filed the updated lawsuit on Sunday December 8, 2024. Buzbee said the case “speaks for itself” and will be handled in court. He has previously filed over 20 lawsuits against Diddy for alleged sexual misconduct.
The lawsuit claims Jay-Z ignored a letter from Buzbee’s legal team offering to mediate the matter privately. Instead, Jay-Z allegedly filed a lawsuit against Buzbee and tried to intimidate his legal team.
Buzbee has accused Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, the law firm representing Jay-Z and Diddy, of harassment. Buzbee also said the victim has not asked for money for confidential mediation. The case is ongoing.
