CS Murkomen forms Commission

In the now-evident history of a leaking roof at JKIA, CS Murkomen formed a commission of inquiry to address the issues.

CS Murkomen went on ahead to assure Kenyans that the incident would not happen again.

According to a report by the Kenya Airports Authority in 2023, the leakage was due to downpipes being overwhelmed by the rains.

In their Senate submission, KAA stated that the leakages have been addressed by unblocking blocked downward pipes at JKIA.

Additionally, the Authority told the Senate in 2023 that the affected parts at JKIA had been repaired.

Moreover, the repairs of the pipes could handle heavier rains and normal storms to fully put an end to the leaking instances at the airport.
