Jowie, Maribe to know fate in the Monica Kimani Murder case

Former lovers Jowie Irungu and ex-TV siren Jackie Maribe will today know their fate in the mystery Murder case of business woman Monica Kimani which has gone on for more than half a decade now.

The two are the main suspects in the murder of the 28 year old woman which happened at her Lamuria Garden apartment on the night of September 19 2018 following her arrivial from South Sudan.

High Court Judge Grace Nzioka is scheduled to deliver the long-awaited judgment in an open courtroom.

Jowie, is the primary defendant in the case while Maribe is his co-accused.

The case, which extended over two years, concluded in July 2022.

The High Court had postponed delivery of judgement in the case on December 15,2023.

Initially, the ruling was set to be delivered on October 6, 2023, but was postponed after Lady Justice Grace Nzioka was reported to be sick.

Justice Nzioka while postponing the ruling, explained that she needed more time to scrutinize the exhibits that were submitted to her on December 14.

“We’ve made progress. But on Monday I discovered that when the file was sent to me not all exhibits were sent to me,” the judge said.

Meanwhile, Jowie, who is the main suspect in the case, had pleaded with the court to deliver the ruling before Christmas, arguing that it has caused a lot of pain to his family.
